The sky
on 22 March 1927.
The sign of each planet that day, calculated from astronomical ephemerides (Paris time). When a planet changes sign during the day, the exact time is given: that’s where the birth time decides.
If this is your birth date
What you are trying to become
You have already started. While others weigh it up, you move on the first idea and correct as you go.
The zodiac starts here, at the March equinox. Mars rules this sign, and the Sun is exalted in it.
Waiting costs you more than being wrong. The real question is what you finish.
Why?
What you are trying to become, and what you need to be recognised for. In Aries, it starts before it is ready. You decide fast, correct on the move, and waiting costs you more than being wrong. Received as a guest of honour: amplified, sometimes past reason. A strength to dose, not to prove.
What settles you
You feel everything, and you show almost nothing. What touched you stays deep down, long after others have forgotten.
The brightest star of the constellation is Antares: the rival of Mars. Mars rules this sign in the old astrology, Pluto in the new.
The Moon is in its fall in this sign. What settles you is knowing the truth, even a bad one.
Why?
What settles you and what puts you on alert, before any conscious decision. In Scorpio, it plays out fully and in private. You watch for a long time before committing, then you do not let go. Opposite its exaltation: weakened ground. Not a sentence — a place where you learn what others take for granted.
What people see first
It takes your birth time and city.
Why?
The first thing people register about you, before they know you.
What draws you
Your birth time settles it.
Why?
What draws you in and what you offer — in love as in taste.
What gets you moving
You fight with words. You answer back on the spot, you open ten projects, and you change angle as soon as something jams.
Gemini is Castor and Pollux: one mortal, the other not, inseparable all the same. Mercury, the fastest planet around the Sun, rules this sign.
Your comebacks sometimes hit harder than you meant.
Why?
What you go after, and how you fight when you meet resistance. In Gemini, it runs through words and several threads at once. You get bored before other people do, and it shows.
How you think
You think in images. You understand without knowing how, and you struggle to retrace the path and explain it.
Pisces closes the zodiac. Two fish swim in opposite directions, tied by a cord. The star that makes the knot is called Alrescha: “the cord”, in Arabic.
Mercury is in detriment and in its fall in this sign: your intuition does not fit easily into a sentence.
Why?
How you think and speak — the pace, the level of detail, what you keep to yourself. In Pisces, it happens by absorption. You take on the mood of a room without choosing to, and sometimes mistake it for your own. Opposite its home: adverse ground. What it governs takes deliberate effort — and is worth working for exactly that reason. Retrograde at your birth: seen from Earth, the planet was moving backwards. What it governs turns inward first, and shows later than it does in other people.
Where you think big
You grow by letting go. An intuition, an uncalculated gesture, help given without counting come back by paths you did not plan.
Jupiter rules this sign in the tradition. Your trust needs limits so it does not dissolve.
Why?
What you take for granted, and the ground where you let yourself overreach. In Pisces, it happens by absorption. You take on the mood of a room without choosing to, and sometimes mistake it for your own. At home. What it governs runs without resistance — the ground where you do not have to force anything.
Where you hold firm
You want convictions that hold. You doubt for a long time, you check, you build your own view.
The centre of our galaxy lies in the direction of Sagittarius: look toward the archer, and you are looking at the heart of the Milky Way. Jupiter, the largest planet, rules this sign.
What you believe, you have paid for, and you hold to it.
Why?
What you take seriously, and where you hold yourself to a line. In Sagittarius, it needs a horizon. You take badly to having your ground narrowed, and you leave rather than negotiate. Retrograde at your birth: seen from Earth, the planet was moving backwards. What it governs turns inward first, and shows later than it does in other people.
What dominates
You feel before you understand, and your memory files moments by what they did to you, not by their dates. Water's known flip side: absorbing moods that are not yours.

What’s missing without the time
The rising sign, the houses and the exact degree of each planet depend on the time and place: the rising sign changes about every two hours. Add them in the calculator, or find your full chart in the app.
