The sky
on 28 October 1928.
The sign of each planet that day, calculated from astronomical ephemerides (Paris time). When a planet changes sign during the day, the exact time is given: that’s where the birth time decides.
If this is your birth date
What you are trying to become
You watch for a long time before committing. You already know a lot about people while they think they are still finding you out. Then you do not let go.
The brightest star of the constellation is Antares: the rival of Mars. Mars rules this sign in the old astrology, Pluto in the new.
Everything plays out fully and in private. What you forgive, you do not forget.
Why?
What you are trying to become, and what you need to be recognised for. In Scorpio, it plays out fully and in private. You watch for a long time before committing, then you do not let go.
What settles you
Your birth time settles it.
Why?
What settles you and what puts you on alert, before any conscious decision.
What people see first
It takes your birth time and city.
Why?
The first thing people register about you, before they know you.
What draws you
What draws you comes from elsewhere. Another language, another accent, a way of seeing you did not know. You like the door left open.
The centre of our galaxy lies in the direction of Sagittarius: look toward the archer, and you are looking at the heart of the Milky Way. Jupiter, the largest planet, rules this sign.
People keep you by leaving with you, never by holding you back.
Why?
What draws you in and what you offer — in love as in taste. In Sagittarius, it needs a horizon. You take badly to having your ground narrowed, and you leave rather than negotiate.
What gets you moving
You fight for your people before you fight for yourself. You come at things sideways, you absorb, then it all comes out at once, often over something small.
Cancer begins at the June solstice, the day the Sun stops and turns back. The Moon rules this sign.
Mars is in its fall in this sign: your anger has a long memory.
Why?
What you go after, and how you fight when you meet resistance. In Cancer, it goes through who is present first. You protect before you explain, and you remember everything. Opposite its exaltation: weakened ground. Not a sentence — a place where you learn what others take for granted.
How you think
You think by comparing. You see the other side of every argument, and you say so, sometimes just when you are expected to decide.
Libra is the only sign of the zodiac that isn’t a living thing: it is an instrument. It weighs, and it stops only when both pans are level.
You find the wording that upsets nobody. Your own opinion comes later.
Why?
How you think and speak — the pace, the level of detail, what you keep to yourself. In Libra, it is measured against the other person. You adjust to whoever is across from you, until your own position blurs. Retrograde at your birth: seen from Earth, the planet was moving backwards. What it governs turns inward first, and shows later than it does in other people.
Where you think big
You grow by accumulating. A good meal, a fine object, an account rising slowly: your confidence needs proof you can touch.
Venus rules this sign. In its constellation shine the Pleiades, seven sisters to the Greeks, visible to the naked eye on winter nights.
Too much is rarely enough for you, and that is where it costs.
Why?
What you take for granted, and the ground where you let yourself overreach. In Taurus, it takes the time it takes and it is not replayed. You commit late, then you do not revisit it. Retrograde at your birth: seen from Earth, the planet was moving backwards. What it governs turns inward first, and shows later than it does in other people.
Where you hold firm
You want convictions that hold. You doubt for a long time, you check, you build your own view.
What you believe, you have paid for, and you hold to it.
Why?
What you take seriously, and where you hold yourself to a line. In Sagittarius, it needs a horizon. You take badly to having your ground narrowed, and you leave rather than negotiate.
What dominates
You start faster than most people, and waiting costs you more than doing. Fire's known flip side: starting comes more naturally than finishing.

What’s missing without the time
The rising sign, the houses and the exact degree of each planet depend on the time and place: the rising sign changes about every two hours. Add them in the calculator, or find your full chart in the app.
