The sky
on 4 December 1940.
The sign of each planet that day, calculated from astronomical ephemerides (Paris time). When a planet changes sign during the day, the exact time is given: that’s where the birth time decides.
If this is your birth date
What you are trying to become
You need a horizon. You take badly to having your ground narrowed, and you leave rather than negotiate.
The centre of our galaxy lies in the direction of Sagittarius: look toward the archer, and you are looking at the heart of the Milky Way. Jupiter, the largest planet, rules this sign.
You go farther than planned, and it is rarely an accident.
Why?
What you are trying to become, and what you need to be recognised for. In Sagittarius, it needs a horizon. You take badly to having your ground narrowed, and you leave rather than negotiate.
What settles you
You settle by taking distance. When it overflows, you observe, you analyse, you talk about something else.
Aquarius carries water in every drawing, yet it is an air sign: what it pours is ideas. Saturn rules it in the old astrology, Uranus in the new.
You need air, and people who do not take that as rejection.
Why?
What settles you and what puts you on alert, before any conscious decision. In Aquarius, it happens off the rulebook. You step back where others lean in, and it reads as coldness.
What people see first
It takes your birth time and city.
Why?
The first thing people register about you, before they know you.
What draws you
What draws you has a secret. Lightness bores you fast: you need someone who holds your gaze and does not lie.
The brightest star of the constellation is Antares: the rival of Mars. Mars rules this sign in the old astrology, Pluto in the new.
Venus is in detriment in this sign. You give all or nothing, and you do not forget who betrayed you.
Why?
What draws you in and what you offer — in love as in taste. In Scorpio, it plays out fully and in private. You watch for a long time before committing, then you do not let go. Opposite its home: adverse ground. What it governs takes deliberate effort — and is worth working for exactly that reason.
What gets you moving
You do not let go. You watch, you wait, you strike once and in the right place. People do not see your decisions coming.
Mars rules this sign in the tradition. You know people’s weak point, and you choose whether to use it.
Why?
What you go after, and how you fight when you meet resistance. In Scorpio, it plays out fully and in private. You watch for a long time before committing, then you do not let go. At home. What it governs runs without resistance — the ground where you do not have to force anything.
How you think
You think by digging. You hear what people do not say, and you ask the awkward question.
You say little, and you aim true.
Why?
How you think and speak — the pace, the level of detail, what you keep to yourself. In Scorpio, it plays out fully and in private. You watch for a long time before committing, then you do not let go.
Where you think big
You grow by accumulating. A good meal, a fine object, an account rising slowly: your confidence needs proof you can touch.
Venus rules this sign. In its constellation shine the Pleiades, seven sisters to the Greeks, visible to the naked eye on winter nights.
Too much is rarely enough for you, and that is where it costs.
Why?
What you take for granted, and the ground where you let yourself overreach. In Taurus, it takes the time it takes and it is not replayed. You commit late, then you do not revisit it. Retrograde at your birth: seen from Earth, the planet was moving backwards. What it governs turns inward first, and shows later than it does in other people.
Where you hold firm
You build so as to lack nothing. You count, you set aside, you prefer little and solid.
The fear of going without gives you your patience.
Why?
What you take seriously, and where you hold yourself to a line. In Taurus, it takes the time it takes and it is not replayed. You commit late, then you do not revisit it. Retrograde at your birth: seen from Earth, the planet was moving backwards. What it governs turns inward first, and shows later than it does in other people.
What dominates
You trust what can be verified — a plan, a number, a proof. Earth's known flip side: change requires a serious reason, never a passing urge.

What’s missing without the time
The rising sign, the houses and the exact degree of each planet depend on the time and place: the rising sign changes about every two hours. Add them in the calculator, or find your full chart in the app.
