The sky
on 23 April 1944.
The sign of each planet that day, calculated from astronomical ephemerides (Paris time). When a planet changes sign during the day, the exact time is given: that’s where the birth time decides.
If this is your birth date
What you are trying to become
You take your time, and no one will make you lose it. You commit late, after looking at everything, and then you do not go back on it.
Venus rules this sign. In its constellation shine the Pleiades, seven sisters to the Greeks, visible to the naked eye on winter nights.
What you build, you want to be able to touch. What you are pressed to decide, you refuse first.
Why?
What you are trying to become, and what you need to be recognised for. In Taurus, it takes the time it takes and it is not replayed. You commit late, then you do not revisit it.
What settles you
What settles you can be touched: a meal, a familiar place, a habit nobody disturbs. Your mood does not change quickly, and pushing you will not change it.
The Moon is exalted in this sign: it is where feelings stop moving.
Why?
What settles you and what puts you on alert, before any conscious decision. In Taurus, it takes the time it takes and it is not replayed. You commit late, then you do not revisit it. Received as a guest of honour: amplified, sometimes past reason. A strength to dose, not to prove.
What people see first
It takes your birth time and city.
Why?
The first thing people register about you, before they know you.
What draws you
What draws you is what resists a little. You make the first move without calculating, and you say quickly what you want.
The zodiac starts here, at the March equinox. Mars rules this sign, and the Sun is exalted in it.
Venus is in detriment in this sign: you know how to win someone over, and staying takes more effort.
Why?
What draws you in and what you offer — in love as in taste. In Aries, it starts before it is ready. You decide fast, correct on the move, and waiting costs you more than being wrong. Opposite its home: adverse ground. What it governs takes deliberate effort — and is worth working for exactly that reason.
What gets you moving
You fight for your people before you fight for yourself. You come at things sideways, you absorb, then it all comes out at once, often over something small.
Cancer begins at the June solstice, the day the Sun stops and turns back. The Moon rules this sign.
Mars is in its fall in this sign: your anger has a long memory.
Why?
What you go after, and how you fight when you meet resistance. In Cancer, it goes through who is present first. You protect before you explain, and you remember everything. Opposite its exaltation: weakened ground. Not a sentence — a place where you learn what others take for granted.
How you think
You think slowly and you retain everything. You need something concrete: an example, a figure, something to handle.
Once your mind is made up, arguing with it is a waste of time.
Why?
How you think and speak — the pace, the level of detail, what you keep to yourself. In Taurus, it takes the time it takes and it is not replayed. You commit late, then you do not revisit it. Retrograde at your birth: seen from Earth, the planet was moving backwards. What it governs turns inward first, and shows later than it does in other people.
Where you think big
You grow when you show yourself. A stage, a project with your name on it, a group to lead: your enthusiasm wins people over.
The Sun rules this sign: the only body in the chart that makes its own light. The brightest star of the constellation is Regulus, “the little king”.
You think big, and you like it to show.
Why?
What you take for granted, and the ground where you let yourself overreach. In Leo, it is done large or not at all. You need it to be seen, and lukewarm stings more than a flat no.
Where you hold firm
You weigh your words. Speaking or writing took you work, and it has become a strength.
Gemini is Castor and Pollux: one mortal, the other not, inseparable all the same. Mercury, the fastest planet around the Sun, rules this sign.
You think a long time before you speak, and what you say holds.
Why?
What you take seriously, and where you hold yourself to a line. In Gemini, it runs through words and several threads at once. You get bored before other people do, and it shows.

What’s missing without the time
The rising sign, the houses and the exact degree of each planet depend on the time and place: the rising sign changes about every two hours. Add them in the calculator, or find your full chart in the app.
