The sky
on 6 July 1944.
The sign of each planet that day, calculated from astronomical ephemerides (Paris time). When a planet changes sign during the day, the exact time is given: that’s where the birth time decides.
If this is your birth date
What you are trying to become
Before you know what you think, you know who is there. You protect before you explain, and you remember everything: what you were told, and what no one remembered to tell you.
Cancer begins at the June solstice, the day the Sun stops and turns back. The Moon rules this sign.
What you are trying to become runs through the people you keep close. It remains to count yourself among them.
Why?
What you are trying to become, and what you need to be recognised for. In Cancer, it goes through who is present first. You protect before you explain, and you remember everything.
What settles you
You settle by working. A feeling, you file away, to open later. Maybe. People see you holding on, and no one thinks to ask how you are.
Capricorn begins at the December solstice, the day the Sun turns back. Its symbol is a sea goat: half mountain, half ocean. Saturn rules it.
The Moon is in exile in this sign: what you feel goes first through what you do.
Why?
What settles you and what puts you on alert, before any conscious decision. In Capricorn, it gets built and proven. You aim far, demand a lot of yourself, and give yourself credit late. Opposite its home: adverse ground. What it governs takes deliberate effort — and is worth working for exactly that reason.
What people see first
It takes your birth time and city.
Why?
The first thing people register about you, before they know you.
What draws you
What draws you is someone you can put your bag down with. You feed people, you remember small kindnesses, and you give before being asked.
You love the way people protect, and you take it badly when that isn’t wanted.
Why?
What draws you in and what you offer — in love as in taste. In Cancer, it goes through who is present first. You protect before you explain, and you remember everything.
What gets you moving
You move when it is worth it, and it shows. You like to lead, to defend, to stand in front. What wounds your pride gets you going.
The Sun rules this sign: the only body in the chart that makes its own light. The brightest star of the constellation is Regulus, “the little king”.
You work better when somebody is watching.
Why?
What you go after, and how you fight when you meet resistance. In Leo, it is done large or not at all. You need it to be seen, and lukewarm stings more than a flat no.
How you think
You think with your memory. A smell, a sentence from ten years ago, and it all comes back. You listen to the tone as much as the words.
You retain what you were told, and above all how you were told it.
Why?
How you think and speak — the pace, the level of detail, what you keep to yourself. In Cancer, it goes through who is present first. You protect before you explain, and you remember everything.
Where you think big
You grow when you show yourself. A stage, a project with your name on it, a group to lead: your enthusiasm wins people over.
You think big, and you like it to show.
Why?
What you take for granted, and the ground where you let yourself overreach. In Leo, it is done large or not at all. You need it to be seen, and lukewarm stings more than a flat no.
Where you hold firm
You protect yourself a lot. Family, home, what comes from childhood have weighed, and you drew great solidity from them.
Saturn is in detriment in this sign: you look after everything, and you rarely ask.
Why?
What you take seriously, and where you hold yourself to a line. In Cancer, it goes through who is present first. You protect before you explain, and you remember everything. Opposite its home: adverse ground. What it governs takes deliberate effort — and is worth working for exactly that reason.
What dominates
You feel before you understand, and your memory files moments by what they did to you, not by their dates. Water's known flip side: absorbing moods that are not yours.

What’s missing without the time
The rising sign, the houses and the exact degree of each planet depend on the time and place: the rising sign changes about every two hours. Add them in the calculator, or find your full chart in the app.
