The sky
on 24 May 1956.
The sign of each planet that day, calculated from astronomical ephemerides (Paris time). When a planet changes sign during the day, the exact time is given: that’s where the birth time decides.
If this is your birth date
What you are trying to become
You hold three conversations in your head and you would rather not drop any of them. Words are how you think. You get bored before other people do, and it shows.
Gemini is Castor and Pollux: one mortal, the other not, inseparable all the same. Mercury, the fastest planet around the Sun, rules this sign.
People say you scatter yourself. You call it keeping the doors open.
Why?
What you are trying to become, and what you need to be recognised for. In Gemini, it runs through words and several threads at once. You get bored before other people do, and it shows.
What settles you
Your birth time settles it.
Why?
What settles you and what puts you on alert, before any conscious decision.
What people see first
It takes your birth time and city.
Why?
The first thing people register about you, before they know you.
What draws you
What draws you is someone you can put your bag down with. You feed people, you remember small kindnesses, and you give before being asked.
Cancer begins at the June solstice, the day the Sun stops and turns back. The Moon rules this sign.
You love the way people protect, and you take it badly when that isn’t wanted.
Why?
What draws you in and what you offer — in love as in taste. In Cancer, it goes through who is present first. You protect before you explain, and you remember everything.
What gets you moving
You do not move because you are asked to. An instruction makes you want to do the opposite, and you fight better for a cause than for yourself.
Aquarius carries water in every drawing, yet it is an air sign: what it pours is ideas. Saturn rules it in the old astrology, Uranus in the new.
Your anger stays in your head: you explain, and it hurts more than a shout.
Why?
What you go after, and how you fight when you meet resistance. In Aquarius, it happens off the rulebook. You step back where others lean in, and it reads as coldness.
How you think
You think fast, on several tracks. You learn in an evening what takes others a month, and you move on.
Mercury rules this sign. You know a little of everything, and you know how to say it very well.
Why?
How you think and speak — the pace, the level of detail, what you keep to yourself. In Gemini, it runs through words and several threads at once. You get bored before other people do, and it shows. At home. What it governs runs without resistance — the ground where you do not have to force anything. Retrograde at your birth: seen from Earth, the planet was moving backwards. What it governs turns inward first, and shows later than it does in other people.
Where you think big
You grow when you show yourself. A stage, a project with your name on it, a group to lead: your enthusiasm wins people over.
The Sun rules this sign: the only body in the chart that makes its own light. The brightest star of the constellation is Regulus, “the little king”.
You think big, and you like it to show.
Why?
What you take for granted, and the ground where you let yourself overreach. In Leo, it is done large or not at all. You need it to be seen, and lukewarm stings more than a flat no.
Where you hold firm
You hold firm in what hurts. You control what touches you, and you confide nothing easily.
The brightest star of the constellation is Antares: the rival of Mars. Mars rules this sign in the old astrology, Pluto in the new.
You come out of trials with a strength few people see.
Why?
What you take seriously, and where you hold yourself to a line. In Scorpio, it plays out fully and in private. You watch for a long time before committing, then you do not let go. Retrograde at your birth: seen from Earth, the planet was moving backwards. What it governs turns inward first, and shows later than it does in other people.
What isn’t there
There is no earth in your chart. Not one point, out of the 9 we count.
The concrete is not your starting point: ideas and impulses come first, structure gets chosen afterwards — it does not impose itself.
Why?
We count the ten planets and the rising sign, as in the app.

What’s missing without the time
The rising sign, the houses and the exact degree of each planet depend on the time and place: the rising sign changes about every two hours. Add them in the calculator, or find your full chart in the app.
