The sky
on 1 December 1987.
The sign of each planet that day, calculated from astronomical ephemerides (Paris time). When a planet changes sign during the day, the exact time is given: that’s where the birth time decides.
If this is your birth date
What you are trying to become
You need a horizon. You take badly to having your ground narrowed, and you leave rather than negotiate.
The centre of our galaxy lies in the direction of Sagittarius: look toward the archer, and you are looking at the heart of the Milky Way. Jupiter, the largest planet, rules this sign.
You go farther than planned, and it is rarely an accident.
Why?
What you are trying to become, and what you need to be recognised for. In Sagittarius, it needs a horizon. You take badly to having your ground narrowed, and you leave rather than negotiate.
What settles you
Your mood goes up like a match. An annoyance, and it is already said. Ten minutes later it is over for you, and you are surprised it lasts for others.
The zodiac starts here, at the March equinox. Mars rules this sign, and the Sun is exalted in it.
What settles you is acting: walking, doing, sorting it out right now.
Why?
What settles you and what puts you on alert, before any conscious decision. In Aries, it starts before it is ready. You decide fast, correct on the move, and waiting costs you more than being wrong.
What people see first
It takes your birth time and city.
Why?
The first thing people register about you, before they know you.
What draws you
What draws you has proved itself. You look at how someone keeps their promises before you look at the rest, and you take your time.
Capricorn begins at the December solstice, the day the Sun turns back. Its symbol is a sea goat: half mountain, half ocean. Saturn rules it.
You love seriously, and it shows in time more than in words.
Why?
What draws you in and what you offer — in love as in taste. In Capricorn, it gets built and proven. You aim far, demand a lot of yourself, and give yourself credit late.
What gets you moving
You do not let go. You watch, you wait, you strike once and in the right place. People do not see your decisions coming.
The brightest star of the constellation is Antares: the rival of Mars. Mars rules this sign in the old astrology, Pluto in the new.
Mars rules this sign in the tradition. You know people’s weak point, and you choose whether to use it.
Why?
What you go after, and how you fight when you meet resistance. In Scorpio, it plays out fully and in private. You watch for a long time before committing, then you do not let go. At home. What it governs runs without resistance — the ground where you do not have to force anything.
How you think
You think by digging. You hear what people do not say, and you ask the awkward question.
You say little, and you aim true.
Why?
How you think and speak — the pace, the level of detail, what you keep to yourself. In Scorpio, it plays out fully and in private. You watch for a long time before committing, then you do not let go.
Where you think big
You grow by starting. An opening appeals when nobody has dared yet, and you go before you have the plan.
Your luck is your momentum. Your risk is not finishing.
Why?
What you take for granted, and the ground where you let yourself overreach. In Aries, it starts before it is ready. You decide fast, correct on the move, and waiting costs you more than being wrong. Retrograde at your birth: seen from Earth, the planet was moving backwards. What it governs turns inward first, and shows later than it does in other people.
Where you hold firm
You want convictions that hold. You doubt for a long time, you check, you build your own view.
What you believe, you have paid for, and you hold to it.
Why?
What you take seriously, and where you hold yourself to a line. In Sagittarius, it needs a horizon. You take badly to having your ground narrowed, and you leave rather than negotiate.
What isn’t there
There is no air in your chart. Not one point, out of the 10 we count.
Analysis is not your first reflex: what you know, you know from direct experience — explaining it comes later, when it comes at all.
Why?
We count the ten planets and the rising sign, as in the app.

What’s missing without the time
The rising sign, the houses and the exact degree of each planet depend on the time and place: the rising sign changes about every two hours. Add them in the calculator, or find your full chart in the app.
