The sky
on 16 November 2004.
The sign of each planet that day, calculated from astronomical ephemerides (Paris time). When a planet changes sign during the day, the exact time is given: that’s where the birth time decides.
If this is your birth date
What you are trying to become
You watch for a long time before committing. You already know a lot about people while they think they are still finding you out. Then you do not let go.
The brightest star of the constellation is Antares: the rival of Mars. Mars rules this sign in the old astrology, Pluto in the new.
Everything plays out fully and in private. What you forgive, you do not forget.
Why?
What you are trying to become, and what you need to be recognised for. In Scorpio, it plays out fully and in private. You watch for a long time before committing, then you do not let go.
What settles you
You settle by working. A feeling, you file away, to open later. Maybe. People see you holding on, and no one thinks to ask how you are.
Capricorn begins at the December solstice, the day the Sun turns back. Its symbol is a sea goat: half mountain, half ocean. Saturn rules it.
The Moon is in exile in this sign: what you feel goes first through what you do.
Why?
What settles you and what puts you on alert, before any conscious decision. In Capricorn, it gets built and proven. You aim far, demand a lot of yourself, and give yourself credit late. Opposite its home: adverse ground. What it governs takes deliberate effort — and is worth working for exactly that reason.
What people see first
It takes your birth time and city.
Why?
The first thing people register about you, before they know you.
What draws you
What draws you is beautiful and composed: a steady voice, a well-arranged room, someone who knows how to talk to people. Rudeness cools you in a second.
Libra is the only sign of the zodiac that isn’t a living thing: it is an instrument. It weighs, and it stops only when both pans are level.
Venus is at home in this sign. You are looking for a real face-to-face, with someone at your level.
Why?
What draws you in and what you offer — in love as in taste. In Libra, it is measured against the other person. You adjust to whoever is across from you, until your own position blurs. At home. What it governs runs without resistance — the ground where you do not have to force anything.
What gets you moving
You do not let go. You watch, you wait, you strike once and in the right place. People do not see your decisions coming.
Mars rules this sign in the tradition. You know people’s weak point, and you choose whether to use it.
Why?
What you go after, and how you fight when you meet resistance. In Scorpio, it plays out fully and in private. You watch for a long time before committing, then you do not let go. At home. What it governs runs without resistance — the ground where you do not have to force anything.
How you think
You think wide. You see the general meaning before the details, and you prefer a big idea to a small proof.
The centre of our galaxy lies in the direction of Sagittarius: look toward the archer, and you are looking at the heart of the Milky Way. Jupiter, the largest planet, rules this sign.
Mercury is in detriment in this sign: you say what you believe before you have checked.
Why?
How you think and speak — the pace, the level of detail, what you keep to yourself. In Sagittarius, it needs a horizon. You take badly to having your ground narrowed, and you leave rather than negotiate. Opposite its home: adverse ground. What it governs takes deliberate effort — and is worth working for exactly that reason.
Where you think big
You grow with someone. A partnership, a meeting, a well-found agreement open more doors than solitary effort.
You help the people around you grow, and they often return it.
Why?
What you take for granted, and the ground where you let yourself overreach. In Libra, it is measured against the other person. You adjust to whoever is across from you, until your own position blurs.
Where you hold firm
You protect yourself a lot. Family, home, what comes from childhood have weighed, and you drew great solidity from them.
Cancer begins at the June solstice, the day the Sun stops and turns back. The Moon rules this sign.
Saturn is in detriment in this sign: you look after everything, and you rarely ask.
Why?
What you take seriously, and where you hold yourself to a line. In Cancer, it goes through who is present first. You protect before you explain, and you remember everything. Opposite its home: adverse ground. What it governs takes deliberate effort — and is worth working for exactly that reason. Retrograde at your birth: seen from Earth, the planet was moving backwards. What it governs turns inward first, and shows later than it does in other people.
What dominates
You feel before you understand, and your memory files moments by what they did to you, not by their dates. Water's known flip side: absorbing moods that are not yours.

What’s missing without the time
The rising sign, the houses and the exact degree of each planet depend on the time and place: the rising sign changes about every two hours. Add them in the calculator, or find your full chart in the app.
