The sky
on 28 April 2012.
The sign of each planet that day, calculated from astronomical ephemerides (Paris time). When a planet changes sign during the day, the exact time is given: that’s where the birth time decides.
If this is your birth date
What you are trying to become
You take your time, and no one will make you lose it. You commit late, after looking at everything, and then you do not go back on it.
Venus rules this sign. In its constellation shine the Pleiades, seven sisters to the Greeks, visible to the naked eye on winter nights.
What you build, you want to be able to touch. What you are pressed to decide, you refuse first.
Why?
What you are trying to become, and what you need to be recognised for. In Taurus, it takes the time it takes and it is not replayed. You commit late, then you do not revisit it.
What settles you
Your birth time settles it.
Why?
What settles you and what puts you on alert, before any conscious decision.
What people see first
It takes your birth time and city.
Why?
The first thing people register about you, before they know you.
What draws you
What draws you is a mind. Someone who makes you laugh, answers fast, surprises you by the third sentence.
Gemini is Castor and Pollux: one mortal, the other not, inseparable all the same. Mercury, the fastest planet around the Sun, rules this sign.
You fall under someone’s spell in writing as much as face to face. When the exchange dies, the rest follows.
Why?
What draws you in and what you offer — in love as in taste. In Gemini, it runs through words and several threads at once. You get bored before other people do, and it shows.
What gets you moving
You act in steps. You spot what does not work, you correct it, you start again until it is right.
Mercury rules this sign and is exalted in it, a case unique in the zodiac. The brightest star is Spica, the ear of wheat.
Your anger takes the form of a precise remark, and it lands.
Why?
What you go after, and how you fight when you meet resistance. In Virgo, it gets settled in the details. You spot what is off before looking for it, and you say so.
How you think
You think by talking, and you talk before you have finished. Your ideas arrive in one block, and you decide fast.
The zodiac starts here, at the March equinox. Mars rules this sign, and the Sun is exalted in it.
You are often right too early, and you let people know.
Why?
How you think and speak — the pace, the level of detail, what you keep to yourself. In Aries, it starts before it is ready. You decide fast, correct on the move, and waiting costs you more than being wrong.
Where you think big
You grow by accumulating. A good meal, a fine object, an account rising slowly: your confidence needs proof you can touch.
Too much is rarely enough for you, and that is where it costs.
Why?
What you take for granted, and the ground where you let yourself overreach. In Taurus, it takes the time it takes and it is not replayed. You commit late, then you do not revisit it.
Where you hold firm
You take bonds seriously. A commitment, for you, gets kept, and you want it to be fair.
Libra is the only sign of the zodiac that isn’t a living thing: it is an instrument. It weighs, and it stops only when both pans are level.
Saturn is in exaltation in this sign: you know what an agreement is worth.
Why?
What you take seriously, and where you hold yourself to a line. In Libra, it is measured against the other person. You adjust to whoever is across from you, until your own position blurs. Received as a guest of honour: amplified, sometimes past reason. A strength to dose, not to prove. Retrograde at your birth: seen from Earth, the planet was moving backwards. What it governs turns inward first, and shows later than it does in other people.
What dominates
You trust what can be verified — a plan, a number, a proof. Earth's known flip side: change requires a serious reason, never a passing urge.
