The sky
on 17 May 2020.
The sign of each planet that day, calculated from astronomical ephemerides (Paris time). When a planet changes sign during the day, the exact time is given: that’s where the birth time decides.
If this is your birth date
What you are trying to become
You take your time, and no one will make you lose it. You commit late, after looking at everything, and then you do not go back on it.
Venus rules this sign. In its constellation shine the Pleiades, seven sisters to the Greeks, visible to the naked eye on winter nights.
What you build, you want to be able to touch. What you are pressed to decide, you refuse first.
Why?
What you are trying to become, and what you need to be recognised for. In Taurus, it takes the time it takes and it is not replayed. You commit late, then you do not revisit it.
What settles you
Your birth time settles it.
Why?
What settles you and what puts you on alert, before any conscious decision.
What people see first
It takes your birth time and city.
Why?
The first thing people register about you, before they know you.
What draws you
What draws you is a mind. Someone who makes you laugh, answers fast, surprises you by the third sentence.
Gemini is Castor and Pollux: one mortal, the other not, inseparable all the same. Mercury, the fastest planet around the Sun, rules this sign.
You fall under someone’s spell in writing as much as face to face. When the exchange dies, the rest follows.
Why?
What draws you in and what you offer — in love as in taste. In Gemini, it runs through words and several threads at once. You get bored before other people do, and it shows. Retrograde at your birth: seen from Earth, the planet was moving backwards. What it governs turns inward first, and shows later than it does in other people.
What gets you moving
You move without a straight line. You go around, you wait for it to pass, you sense where it will give. Direct confrontation costs you.
Pisces closes the zodiac. Two fish swim in opposite directions, tied by a cord. The star that makes the knot is called Alrescha: “the cord”, in Arabic.
Your strength comes in waves: nothing for days, then everything in one night.
Why?
What you go after, and how you fight when you meet resistance. In Pisces, it happens by absorption. You take on the mood of a room without choosing to, and sometimes mistake it for your own.
How you think
You think fast, on several tracks. You learn in an evening what takes others a month, and you move on.
Mercury rules this sign. You know a little of everything, and you know how to say it very well.
Why?
How you think and speak — the pace, the level of detail, what you keep to yourself. In Gemini, it runs through words and several threads at once. You get bored before other people do, and it shows. At home. What it governs runs without resistance — the ground where you do not have to force anything.
Where you think big
You grow slowly, floor by floor. A title, a responsibility, a project that takes ten years: you believe in what lasts.
Capricorn begins at the December solstice, the day the Sun turns back. Its symbol is a sea goat: half mountain, half ocean. Saturn rules it.
Jupiter is in its fall in this sign: your optimism asks for proof.
Why?
What you take for granted, and the ground where you let yourself overreach. In Capricorn, it gets built and proven. You aim far, demand a lot of yourself, and give yourself credit late. Opposite its exaltation: weakened ground. Not a sentence — a place where you learn what others take for granted. Retrograde at your birth: seen from Earth, the planet was moving backwards. What it governs turns inward first, and shows later than it does in other people.
Where you hold firm
You build your own way. You hold to your freedom, and you give it rules you have chosen.
Aquarius carries water in every drawing, yet it is an air sign: what it pours is ideas. Saturn rules it in the old astrology, Uranus in the new.
Saturn rules this sign in the tradition. Finding your place in a group took you time.
Why?
What you take seriously, and where you hold yourself to a line. In Aquarius, it happens off the rulebook. You step back where others lean in, and it reads as coldness. At home. What it governs runs without resistance — the ground where you do not have to force anything. Retrograde at your birth: seen from Earth, the planet was moving backwards. What it governs turns inward first, and shows later than it does in other people.
What dominates
You trust what can be verified — a plan, a number, a proof. Earth's known flip side: change requires a serious reason, never a passing urge.

The rising sign, the houses and the exact degree of each planet depend on the time and place: the rising sign changes about every two hours. Add them in the calculator, or find your full chart in the app.
