The sky
on 12 July 2021.
The sign of each planet that day, calculated from astronomical ephemerides (Paris time). When a planet changes sign during the day, the exact time is given: that’s where the birth time decides.
If this is your birth date
What you are trying to become
Before you know what you think, you know who is there. You protect before you explain, and you remember everything: what you were told, and what no one remembered to tell you.
Cancer begins at the June solstice, the day the Sun stops and turns back. The Moon rules this sign.
What you are trying to become runs through the people you keep close. It remains to count yourself among them.
Why?
What you are trying to become, and what you need to be recognised for. In Cancer, it goes through who is present first. You protect before you explain, and you remember everything.
What settles you
You settle once you have been seen. A real thank you, a look that stays, and the day mends.
The Sun rules this sign: the only body in the chart that makes its own light. The brightest star of the constellation is Regulus, “the little king”.
Indifference hits you harder than blame.
Why?
What settles you and what puts you on alert, before any conscious decision. In Leo, it is done large or not at all. You need it to be seen, and lukewarm stings more than a flat no.
What people see first
It takes your birth time and city.
Why?
The first thing people register about you, before they know you.
What draws you
What draws you has style. You like to give, to stage things, to make an occasion out of a Tuesday.
You give a lot, and you want to see it in the other person’s eyes.
Why?
What draws you in and what you offer — in love as in taste. In Leo, it is done large or not at all. You need it to be seen, and lukewarm stings more than a flat no.
What gets you moving
You move when it is worth it, and it shows. You like to lead, to defend, to stand in front. What wounds your pride gets you going.
You work better when somebody is watching.
Why?
What you go after, and how you fight when you meet resistance. In Leo, it is done large or not at all. You need it to be seen, and lukewarm stings more than a flat no.
How you think
You think with your memory. A smell, a sentence from ten years ago, and it all comes back. You listen to the tone as much as the words.
You retain what you were told, and above all how you were told it.
Why?
How you think and speak — the pace, the level of detail, what you keep to yourself. In Cancer, it goes through who is present first. You protect before you explain, and you remember everything.
Where you think big
You grow by letting go. An intuition, an uncalculated gesture, help given without counting come back by paths you did not plan.
Pisces closes the zodiac. Two fish swim in opposite directions, tied by a cord. The star that makes the knot is called Alrescha: “the cord”, in Arabic.
Jupiter rules this sign in the tradition. Your trust needs limits so it does not dissolve.
Why?
What you take for granted, and the ground where you let yourself overreach. In Pisces, it happens by absorption. You take on the mood of a room without choosing to, and sometimes mistake it for your own. At home. What it governs runs without resistance — the ground where you do not have to force anything. Retrograde at your birth: seen from Earth, the planet was moving backwards. What it governs turns inward first, and shows later than it does in other people.
Where you hold firm
You build your own way. You hold to your freedom, and you give it rules you have chosen.
Aquarius carries water in every drawing, yet it is an air sign: what it pours is ideas. Saturn rules it in the old astrology, Uranus in the new.
Saturn rules this sign in the tradition. Finding your place in a group took you time.
Why?
What you take seriously, and where you hold yourself to a line. In Aquarius, it happens off the rulebook. You step back where others lean in, and it reads as coldness. At home. What it governs runs without resistance — the ground where you do not have to force anything. Retrograde at your birth: seen from Earth, the planet was moving backwards. What it governs turns inward first, and shows later than it does in other people.
What dominates
You feel before you understand, and your memory files moments by what they did to you, not by their dates. Water's known flip side: absorbing moods that are not yours.

What’s missing without the time
The rising sign, the houses and the exact degree of each planet depend on the time and place: the rising sign changes about every two hours. Add them in the calculator, or find your full chart in the app.
