The orb

The gap between the exact angle and the real one, in degrees. An exact trine is 120°; if your two planets sit at 117°, the orb is 3°. The tighter the orb, the heavier the aspect — which is why every row shows its own. Beyond a few degrees the angle stops counting: that threshold is what separates a readable chart from angle soup.

Calculated example from the real sky: the Sun-Jupiter square, exact on 18 November 2026. For this aspect the orb is 5°: it counts as soon as the distance from the exact angle (90°) drops below 5°, on 13 November, and stops counting on 23 November. The dot follows that distance day by day.
