The sky
on 4 February 1978.
The sign of each planet that day, calculated from astronomical ephemerides (Paris time). When a planet changes sign during the day, the exact time is given: that’s where the birth time decides.
If this is your birth date
What you are trying to become
You step back where others lean in. You look at the rule from outside, and you see what is arbitrary about it. It sometimes reads as coldness.
Aquarius carries water in every drawing, yet it is an air sign: what it pours is ideas. Saturn rules it in the old astrology, Uranus in the new.
You care about everyone, and you want to belong to no one.
Why?
What you are trying to become, and what you need to be recognised for. In Aquarius, it happens off the rulebook. You step back where others lean in, and it reads as coldness. Opposite its home: adverse ground. What it governs takes deliberate effort — and is worth working for exactly that reason.
What settles you
Your birth time settles it.
Why?
What settles you and what puts you on alert, before any conscious decision.
What people see first
It takes your birth time and city.
Why?
The first thing people register about you, before they know you.
What draws you
What draws you resembles nobody else. You often begin with friendship, and you keep your freedom in the middle of the relationship.
What a couple is supposed to be, you would rather decide for yourself.
Why?
What draws you in and what you offer — in love as in taste. In Aquarius, it happens off the rulebook. You step back where others lean in, and it reads as coldness.
What gets you moving
You fight for your people before you fight for yourself. You come at things sideways, you absorb, then it all comes out at once, often over something small.
Cancer begins at the June solstice, the day the Sun stops and turns back. The Moon rules this sign.
Mars is in its fall in this sign: your anger has a long memory.
Why?
What you go after, and how you fight when you meet resistance. In Cancer, it goes through who is present first. You protect before you explain, and you remember everything. Opposite its exaltation: weakened ground. Not a sentence — a place where you learn what others take for granted. Retrograde at your birth: seen from Earth, the planet was moving backwards. What it governs turns inward first, and shows later than it does in other people.
How you think
Your birth time settles it.
Why?
How you think and speak — the pace, the level of detail, what you keep to yourself.
Where you think big
You grow by learning. A book, a meeting, one more subject: your best doors open through talking.
Gemini is Castor and Pollux: one mortal, the other not, inseparable all the same. Mercury, the fastest planet around the Sun, rules this sign.
Jupiter is in detriment in this sign: you know many things, less often where they lead.
Why?
What you take for granted, and the ground where you let yourself overreach. In Gemini, it runs through words and several threads at once. You get bored before other people do, and it shows. Opposite its home: adverse ground. What it governs takes deliberate effort — and is worth working for exactly that reason. Retrograde at your birth: seen from Earth, the planet was moving backwards. What it governs turns inward first, and shows later than it does in other people.
Where you hold firm
Showing yourself has cost you. You want what you do to be recognised, and you find it hard to ask.
The Sun rules this sign: the only body in the chart that makes its own light. The brightest star of the constellation is Regulus, “the little king”.
Saturn is in detriment in this sign: your pride works in silence.
Why?
What you take seriously, and where you hold yourself to a line. In Leo, it is done large or not at all. You need it to be seen, and lukewarm stings more than a flat no. Opposite its home: adverse ground. What it governs takes deliberate effort — and is worth working for exactly that reason. Retrograde at your birth: seen from Earth, the planet was moving backwards. What it governs turns inward first, and shows later than it does in other people.
What dominates
You need to understand before you feel, and talking about a problem is already part of solving it. Air's known flip side: staying above things instead of deciding.

What’s missing without the time
The rising sign, the houses and the exact degree of each planet depend on the time and place: the rising sign changes about every two hours. Add them in the calculator, or find your full chart in the app.
