The sky
on 24 February 1980.
The sign of each planet that day, calculated from astronomical ephemerides (Paris time). When a planet changes sign during the day, the exact time is given: that’s where the birth time decides.
If this is your birth date
What you are trying to become
You walk into a room and you already know. Who just argued, who is pretending, who would like to leave. Nobody told you: you took it in without choosing to, the way a hand left in water takes its temperature.
Pisces closes the zodiac. Two fish swim in opposite directions, tied by a cord. The star that makes the knot is called Alrescha: “the cord”, in Arabic.
That is the question that follows you: what I am feeling right now, is it mine?
Why?
What you are trying to become, and what you need to be recognised for. In Pisces, it happens by absorption. You take on the mood of a room without choosing to, and sometimes mistake it for your own.
What settles you
You settle by talking. A worry put into words already weighs less, and someone to write to beats an hour alone with it.
Gemini is Castor and Pollux: one mortal, the other not, inseparable all the same. Mercury, the fastest planet around the Sun, rules this sign.
Silence, for you, is nothing like rest.
Why?
What settles you and what puts you on alert, before any conscious decision. In Gemini, it runs through words and several threads at once. You get bored before other people do, and it shows.
What people see first
It takes your birth time and city.
Why?
The first thing people register about you, before they know you.
What draws you
What draws you is what resists a little. You make the first move without calculating, and you say quickly what you want.
The zodiac starts here, at the March equinox. Mars rules this sign, and the Sun is exalted in it.
Venus is in detriment in this sign: you know how to win someone over, and staying takes more effort.
Why?
What draws you in and what you offer — in love as in taste. In Aries, it starts before it is ready. You decide fast, correct on the move, and waiting costs you more than being wrong. Opposite its home: adverse ground. What it governs takes deliberate effort — and is worth working for exactly that reason.
What gets you moving
You act in steps. You spot what does not work, you correct it, you start again until it is right.
Mercury rules this sign and is exalted in it, a case unique in the zodiac. The brightest star is Spica, the ear of wheat.
Your anger takes the form of a precise remark, and it lands.
Why?
What you go after, and how you fight when you meet resistance. In Virgo, it gets settled in the details. You spot what is off before looking for it, and you say so. Retrograde at your birth: seen from Earth, the planet was moving backwards. What it governs turns inward first, and shows later than it does in other people.
How you think
You think in images. You understand without knowing how, and you struggle to retrace the path and explain it.
Mercury is in detriment and in its fall in this sign: your intuition does not fit easily into a sentence.
Why?
How you think and speak — the pace, the level of detail, what you keep to yourself. In Pisces, it happens by absorption. You take on the mood of a room without choosing to, and sometimes mistake it for your own. Opposite its home: adverse ground. What it governs takes deliberate effort — and is worth working for exactly that reason.
Where you think big
You grow through detail. A trade learned thoroughly, a tool mastered, a method that works.
Jupiter is in detriment in this sign: better sometimes stops you seeing good.
Why?
What you take for granted, and the ground where you let yourself overreach. In Virgo, it gets settled in the details. You spot what is off before looking for it, and you say so. Opposite its home: adverse ground. What it governs takes deliberate effort — and is worth working for exactly that reason. Retrograde at your birth: seen from Earth, the planet was moving backwards. What it governs turns inward first, and shows later than it does in other people.
Where you hold firm
You let nothing pass, especially in yourself. Work done well reassures you, and a flaw can keep you awake.
Your rigour is your strength, as long as you know when to stop.
Why?
What you take seriously, and where you hold yourself to a line. In Virgo, it gets settled in the details. You spot what is off before looking for it, and you say so. Retrograde at your birth: seen from Earth, the planet was moving backwards. What it governs turns inward first, and shows later than it does in other people.

What’s missing without the time
The rising sign, the houses and the exact degree of each planet depend on the time and place: the rising sign changes about every two hours. Add them in the calculator, or find your full chart in the app.
